SAT 

The SAT has a total score of 1600 points and a testing time of 134 minutes: 64 minutes for Reading and Writing and 70 minutes for Math. There are 98 questions in total, including 54 Reading and Writing questions and 44 Math questions.

Each section is divided into two modules. The first module contains a balanced range of questions, while the difficulty of the second module adapts based on the student’s performance in Module 1. The questions and testing time are evenly divided between the two modules.

Students take the SAT digitally at an authorized test center using a compatible device. Before test day, students are required to download Bluebook, the College Board’s official testing application.

The digital SAT uses an adaptive testing format. The difficulty of Module 2 depends on how accurately each student performs in Module 1. Students who perform well in Module 1 will generally receive a more challenging set of questions in Module 2, giving them access to a higher potential score range. Conversely, students who receive an easier second module will have a more limited potential score range.
